Julian Peña is an undergraduate (class of 2017) at Stanford University, studying Electrical Engineering and Religious Studies. He is interning at the Chicano International Film Festival this summer, a responsibility that includes fundraising, designing, and following ChIFF all around Los Angeles. He doesn't really know yet what he'll be doing after ChIFF or graduation, but probably something with the Chicano community. Julian is a proud second-generation Mexican-American and carries that identity wherever he goes.

Los Angeles is both foreign and familiar to Julian. His early life was spent in Glendale before his family moved up north to Palmdale where the rent was cheaper. He's had a bacon hot dog, seen Dodger games, taken a picture with Mickey Mouse, donated a $1 to a dude at Venice Beach, and waited an hour to eat shrimp at San Pedro, but he thinks there's a little more left to LA. Bless this city!
